John M. Eisenberg Award for Innovation in Patient Safety & Quality Meridian Health, in 2005, was honored with the prestigious John M. Eisenberg Award for Patient Safety and Quality, a national award bestowed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and the National Quality Forum. Meridian was recognized for improving patient safety and the quality of care delivered to residents of Monmouth and Ocean counties through the innovative use of evidence-based best practice clinical guidelines as part of the hospitals computer-based physician order entry system (CPOE). |

It also named Meridian Health to its short list of the "Most Wireless" health systems. This is the eleventh consecutive year Meridian has received this national recognition. |
