Meridian offers a variety of marketing opportunities for physicians.
We feature physician experts at community lectures and in our publications, e-newsletters and consumer websites throughout the year. Additionally, all physicians can participate in the Meridian Physician Directory and Call Center.
Physician Directories
When a physician joins the Meridian family they get immediate exposure to the local community, team members and fellow physicians through the Meridian Physician Directory. Here physician can be located by name, specialty, Meridian Health facility or zip code. Custom directories with brief biographies of each physician are printed every several years and mailed to referring physicians as a resource. Additionally, consumer directories are also distributed to potential patients through many vehicles including more than 300 outreach events that Meridian participates in throughout the year.
Call Center
Meridian provides each physician with the opportunity to participate in our 1-800-DOCTORS call center which is marketed to the community in many venues. Here patients can call a toll free number to locate a physician based on the criteria they seek including: insurance, location, specialty or many other preferences. If a referral comes during regular office hours, the call can immediately be transferred to the physician office, so an appointment can be scheduled. Our physician call center handles almost 1000 physician referral call a year.
