The hospitals of Meridian Health offer experienced nurses, skilled full-time hospitalists and comprehensive emergency services to care for your patients. Each of them offers their own unique culture and areas of expertise, but with the core value of quality and evidence based care centered on the patient.
Jersey Shore University Medical Center
Located in Southern Monmouth County, within 10 minutes of the beach, this is the region's only University-level, Academic Medical Center and Regional Trauma Center, and has 612 beds. Also home to an extensive Cardiac program including cardiac surgery, valve replacement and heart rhythm center as well as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Recently completed the largest expansion in its 105-year history that includes a new patient care pavilion, emergency department and trauma center, diagnostic and treatment building, and state-of-the-art technology and patient care amenities.
K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital
The first and most comprehensive children's hospital in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Home to the most board certified pediatric subspecialists in the region, as well as a dedicated pediatric emergency and trauma center, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, and specialized programs and centers for asthma, epilepsy, gastroenterology, development, oncology, behavioral health, and diabetes.
Ocean Medical Center
A 321-bed community hospital located in Northern Ocean County within 15 minutes of the beach, and recently rated one of the five safest hospitals in New Jersey by Forbes magazine. Also offering advanced diagnostic, surgical, and vascular services, the region's only Acute Care for the Elderly unit, as well as a Primary Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, the Meridian Pharmacology Institute, and the state's first satellite emergency department – Ocean Care Center in Point Pleasant.
Riverview Medical Center
Overlooking the Navasink River in the heart of Red Bank, this 325-bed community hospital has been five times distinguished by J.D. Power and Associates and rated one of the top hospitals for quality in New Jersey. Also home to the region's first CyberKnife® radiosurgery center, Booker Cancer Center, Riverview Rehabilitation Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center.
Southern Ocean Medical Center
Located in Southern Ocean County near Long Beach Island, and a recent addition to the Meridian Health Family, this 176-bed community hospital specializes in oncology, cardiovascular, bariatric and general surgery, joint health and orthopedics, women's health, critical care, transitional care, diagnostics, as well as a wide range of wellness and disease prevention programs.
Bayshore Community Hospital
Sitting amidst the suburbs and farmland of Northern Monmouth County, and the most recent addition to the Meridian Health Family, Bayshore Community Hospital is a 238-bed hospital home to several specialized care units for surgical, intensive and transitional care; specialty centers for wound care and balance; the Vassar Eye Center; and has been continually recognized among top performers for core quality measures in the state.
