Creating a New Experience at Bayshore

Something exciting is happening in Holmdel: We are creating a new experience at Bayshore Community Hospital.

With a strong focus on customer service; alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Meridian Health; and a leadership team that includes some of Meridian’s best and brightest, the Bayshore team has a vision.

Paving the way is Timothy Hogan, regional president of Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Community Hospital, as well as new Chief Operating Officer Anthony Cava, the face of Bayshore’s day-to-day operations.

Hogan and Cava head up a new leadership team with a common goal: excellence in everything the hospital sets out to achieve.

“The new leadership team has exciting plans for the growth of Bayshore Community Hospital,” says Hogan. “The development of signature services, a targeted effort to expand the medical staff, and the introduction of customized service initiatives such as Concierge Care will continue to create a new experience at Bayshore.”

In just one short year, Bayshore has seen 71 new physicians join the medical staff — more than the last five years combined — as well as a number of other initiatives that support their dedication to improvement and excellence, including:
  • Adding new clinical services, such as the Center for Bariatrics
  • Achieving a new high-risk designation in the cardiac catheterization lab, as well as expanded services and upgrades to the laboratory
  • Providing nurses and team members with training and access to programs that encourage professional growth training and access to the latest clinical standards at Meridian Health
“The way the community views Bayshore has already changed significantly now that it has the strong support and leadership inherent within a bigger system,” says Cava. “We are confident that Bayshore’s further collaboration with Meridian Health will allow us to provide the best health care experience for all who choose the physicians, facilities, and services offered by Meridian.”

More changes are on the way for Bayshore over the next year as it continues to attract top surgeons and grow signature services that will support its growth and the well-being of its community. Key clinical services will include cardiology, neuroscience, cancer, and pediatrics. With specific goals for its cardiovascular services, Bayshore is destined to become one of the area’s premier heart and vascular care hospitals.

“Together, these strategies will create a hospital that will attract the nation’s finest physicians and empower our team to deliver exceptional care to members of our community,” says Hogan. “Bayshore is now well-positioned for continued future success in providing our patients with direct access to a complete network of the state’s best health care services.”
