Meridian Health presents – AngioScreen at Work
AngioScreen® is a revolutionary, new heart health screening being offered exclusively by Meridian Health. In 10 minutes, this simple, non-invasive screening will provide your employees with information about their risk for heart disease and stroke. The assessment provides information about heart rhythm, neck and leg arteries, blood pressure and overall fitness.
What does AngioScreen include?
- Carotid Artery Ultrasound screen with Peak Systolic Velocities measured
- Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)
- Heart Rhythm (5 lead EKG)
- Blood Pressure
- Pulse
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm
- Health Education Materials
- Immediate Color Printout and Digital Results
- Non-diagnostic Consultation
The assessment includes a private consultation with a nurse educator who will review the results of their screening and provide free educational materials as well. In addition, each employee will receive a color printout and CD of their results that they are encouraged to share with their personal physician.
The program was designed to be comprehensive and created to help employers educate and motivate members of their workforce to make healthier lifestyle choices.

How is AngioScreen Performed?
AngioScreen can be done onsite at your place of business or from the convenience of our Mobile Health Vehicle (coming soon). A highly qualified team of medical professionals from Meridian Health administers the screening. This team consists of a Registered Vascular Technician or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and two Registered Nurses.
Who should be screened?
Every adult should be screened every year. For many Americans, the first sign of heart attack is death. 50% of stroke and heart attack victims experience no warning signs prior to their stroke or heart attack.
What information does my company receive after the screening?
Meridian Health provides your company with a Wellness Report. The Wellness Report provides an aggregate picture of the health of your employees.
