AWARDS & RECOGNITION

FORTUNE Magazine "100 Best Companies to Work For" Six Years in a Row

We are honored to announce Meridian Health's continued acclaim on the annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" survey conducted by FORTUNE and the Great Place to Work Institute.

For six consecutive years (2010-2015) Meridian Health has received FORTUNE 100 honors for accomplishments that include low staff turnover and a remarkable 15 years or more of service for more than twenty percent of our team members.

Two-thirds of a company's score is based on a random sample of employees and their attitudes related to management's credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. Meridian’s enduring FORTUNE 100 recognition speaks volumes, especially considering the tough economy and the challenges of health care reform.

“The entire Meridian Health family continues to exemplify the values and dedication ingrained in our special culture,” says John K. Lloyd, FACHE, president of Meridian Health. “Thank you for continuing to make us the best!”

Both Jersey Shore and Riverview Medical Center recently received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® Heart Attack Receiving Center Accreditation — the first hospitals to achieve this accomplishment in the Northeast. The accreditation program — sponsored by the American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care —recognizes centers that meet or exceed quality of care measures for people experiencing STEMI. To be eligible for the accreditation, these hospitals had to achieve a bronze level quality performance for STEMI care and achieve the following standards in 2014: 200 PCIs annually (each interventionalist must perform 11 primary PCIs and a total of 60 PCIs annually); performance metrics requiring 90 percent compliance for door to EKG in 10 minutes, physician and staff arrival within 30 minutes of STEMI activation; first medical contact to stent/balloon of 90 minutes; and compliance with Class 1 therapies for STEMI care.

Bayshore Community Hospital earned a 2015 Mission: Lifeline® Silver Receiving Center Award by achieving ≥85% composite score on the eight Achievement measures, with no single measure below 75%. This recognition is based on ACTION Registry®-GWTG™ data from January to December 2014.
