New Knowledge Congress


New Knowledge and Innovations Congress purpose – to bring together the council chairs and mentors of the specialty scholars (quality, research, EBP, geriatric) in order to foster and support nurses in generating new knowledge, implementing best practice protocols, improving care processes and achieving the highest quality nursing care.

In addition to council chairs, membership includes the senior manager of the Institute for Evidence-Based Care, nurse scientists from the Ann May center and select specialty scholars.


  • To plan and coordinate specialty scholars Core Curriculum
  • To communicate information about specialty scholar projects/program across the system (could include, but not be limited to newsletter/intranet)
  • To measure the impact of specialty scholar projects/studies on outcomes
  • To plan and coordinate presentations/publications at MH as well as outside conferences
  • To recommend synthesizing/implementing projects/studies hospital-wide/system-wide
