Meridian Health Named one of FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”
Ranked 79th on the 13th annual listing conducted by FORTUNE magazine and the Great Place to Work Institute. Two-thirds of a company’s score is based on a random sample of employees and their attitudes related to management’s credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The remaining third of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the Institute’s Culture Audit.

Meridian Earns CEO Cancer Gold Standard Accreditation
Meridian Health received the CEO Cancer Gold Standard Accreditation from the CEO Roundtable on Cancer. This accreditation recognizes Meridian’s commitment to taking concrete actions to reduce the cancer risk of our team members and their families through screenings, early detection, and health changes in both lifestyle and the workplace. |

John M. Eisenberg Award for Innovation in
Patient Safety and Quality
Meridian Health, in 2005, was honored with the prestigious John M. Eisenberg Award for Patient Safety and Quality, a national award bestowed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and the National Quality Forum. Meridian was recognized for improving patient safety and the quality of care delivered to residents of Monmouth and Ocean counties through the innovative use of evidence-based best practice clinical guidelines as part of the hospitals computer-based physician order entry system (CPOE).

Recipient of Magnet award for nursing excellence — the eighth hospital in the country to be named and the first in the region to be certified three times. The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization, to honor the nursing staffs of the hospitals that meet the nations highest standards. Meridian Health Named Most Wired and Most Wireless
Hospitals and Health Networks Magazine, a publication of the American Hospital Association, recently honored Meridian Health as one of the nation's 100 Most Wired Health Systems. It also named Meridian Health to its short list of the "Most Wireless" health systems. This is the tenth consecutive year Meridian has received this national recognition. Meridian Health is one of only 14 hospitals across the nation that have achieved this status for ten or more years. |

Meridian is a Two-Time Winner of NJBIA’s Outstanding Employer Award
Meridian Health is the recipient of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) 2009 Outstanding Employer of the Year award in recognition of Team Meridian University, our internal corporate university, and our commitment to supporting the learning and development goals of our team members. The Outstanding Employer award is presented to companies that demonstrate a creative and forward-looking approach to managing their human resources. This is the second time Meridian has received the Outstanding Employer Award. In 2003, we won for our Partnership "Total Rewards" Program.
