Meridian’s Quality

Quality is defined as a high degree of excellence or an inherent or distinguishing characteristic that sets one individual or organization apart from another. Meridian Health’s vision and commitment to achieving a culture of quality and excellence is what distinguishes our organization as a premier health care provider in New Jersey. It is our absolute and continuing commitment to providing quality patient care, at our hospitals and partner companies.

The goal of quality reporting is to ensure that patients, when they seek care, receive the right treatment, test, or medicine, at the right time, depending on each patient’s specific condition. Improving patient care by focusing on key quality indicators is integral to achieving Meridian’s overall quality objectives. It is an interdisciplinary, multi-party effort, one that encompasses the entire organization – including physicians, nurses, support staff, administration personnel, and board members – all working in partnership to improve the quality of patient care.

  • We support data and information sharing among hospitals, and believe it is a critical approach toward providing all patients the very best care.
  • Consumers should use these reports as one tool to help them ask more precise questions of their doctors and hospitals.
  • We are fortunate to have highly competent physicians serving on our medical staff who embrace evidence-based medicine, and who are equally dedicated to delivering a consistent high level of care.
  • We believe that quality patient care is a journey, not a destination. For us, it’s about supporting a culture of quality improvement that continues to grow, where as soon as we reach one goal, we see another goal on the horizon to work toward.
