Dental Resident Schedule Details

• Clinic Hours: Clinic doors open at 7:30 a.m. weekdays. Patients are seen between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. One hour is allowed for lunch.



• Assistant Hours: THe hours for the dental assistant are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.



• Resident Assignments:



• Clinic: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except as indicated below. One hour is allowed for lunch.



• Case Presentations: Monthly at department meetings -- Three per Resident.



• Emergency Room: Every fourth Friday night between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and every fourth Saturday afternoon between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the months of July through October. Then, one Friday night between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. During the months of November through June.



• Medical Rounds: 36 hours arranged by the Department of Medicine.



• Pediatric Rounds: 16 hours arranged by the Department of Pediatrics.



• Anesthesia Rotation: 70 hours-14 days (5 Hrs. per day) beginning on the third Monday of the program consecutively for the each resident.



• Journal Club: One hour per month, September through June -- Review of Literature/Dept. presentations.
