See the Growth & Development of the Department
of Obstetrics and Gynecology from Conception to Today

More than 50 years ago the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program was conceived. The program was founded by five amazing men, Robert MacKenzie, M.D., Kenneth Brown, M.D., John Hardy, M.D., Ben Daversa, M.D., Harry Hutchinson, M.D. Their vision for the future gave birth to an active academic department and an outstanding resident teaching program for ob-gyn residents and medical students from RWJ-UMDNJ. Today the department includes doctors who practice general obstetrics and gynecology and doctors well trained in all the sub-specialty areas including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Medicine and Infertility, and Uro-Gynecology. We are focused on the future of our department but wish to honor those who have provided the stable foundations that have allowed our department to grow and flourish.

See the program grow through the years.
