Medical Student Rotations
OB/GYN Residency Third year medical students come to Jersey Shore University Medical Center from several medical schools to do their 4-6 week core rotations in Obstetrics and Gynecology. It is a great chance to meet and work with students from other places. Students come from UMDNJ—Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine, and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Fourth year medical students may apply for electives at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. These OB/GYN rotations are designed to meet a student's area of interest. These courses are designed to enable students interested specifically in OB-GYN to explore specific areas of the specialty. They can also be designed to benefit students going into other specialties such as Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Psychiatry or Internal Medicine who wish to learn more about women's health issues.

The department offers sub-internships in obstetrics and/or gynecology and in all the sub-specialty areas. Elective rotations are available throughout the year for two to four-week periods. Longer or shorter visits can be arranged to accommodate students’ schedules.
