At the Ann May Center for Nursing we are committed to protecting the future of nursing and have established specific initiatives to recruit, educate, and retain first rate nurses at Meridian Health's four hospitals: Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, and Riverview Medical Center, K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital, as well as our many Partner Companies including Meridian At Home and Hospice and Meridian Occupational Health. While Meridian continues to offer and widely publicize the availability of nursing opportunities with excellent salaries and benefits, the Meridian Ann May Center provides our nurses with educational counseling, clinical placements, lectures, workshops, alumni resources, recognition for professional excellence, and research support.
The Ann May Nursing Center for the Advancement of Professional Nursing Practice was established in 1997 to support the evolving needs of nurses in a rapidly changing health care environment. Taking its name from the former Ann May School of Nursing, the diploma program that was associated with Jersey Shore University Medical Center since 1903, the Center for Nursing serves as a linking resource to each of the Nursing Departments within the Meridian Health family for educational enrichment, financial support, and research initiatives.
