JERSEY SHORE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER PRESENTS PROGRAM ON PROSTATE CANCER
Neptune, NJ - On Monday, July 23, Jersey Shore University Medical Center is hosting a program titled "Prostate Cancer: Awareness, Prevention, and Advances, in Medical, Radiation and Surgical Treatments", from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Atlantic Club, 1904 Atlantic Avenue, Wall. This program will feature a panel discussion from Jonathan Briggs, M.D., Kenneth Nahum, D.O., and Matthew Tobin, M.D. According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the second most common type of cancer found in American men. It is estimated that there will be about 218,890 new cases of prostate cancer in the United States in 2007. While 1 man in 6 will get prostate cancer during his lifetime, only 1 man in 34 will die of this disease.
