JERSEY SHORE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER SCHEDULES HEALTH LECTURE SERIES AT NEPTUNE SENIOR CENTER
September 20, Arthritis; October 11, Breast Cancer; November 1, Women?s HeartAdvantage
Neptune, NJ - Jersey Shore University Medical Center is offering an upcoming series of Keeping Healthy lectures at the Neptune Senior Center at 1825 Corlies Avenue. On September 20, Dr. Deborah Alpert discusses Living With Arthritis. This chronic condition strikes more than 70 million Americans and is the second leading cause of work disability, behind cardiac issues. Dr. Alpert discusses the causes of arthritis, symptoms and the latest treatment paths. Radiologist Dr. Eileen Krieg will review Breast Cancer Awareness on October 11. October is Breast Cancer Month. On November 1, nurse educator Lisa Calabrese discusses Women's HeartAdvantage, which covers unique cardiac risk factors and symptoms for women. Heart disease and failure is the leading cause of death among women. Each event will run from 11:00 am-12:30 pm at the Neptune Senior Center.
