John K. Lloyd, FACHE

Recent research shows that as more Americans go online, so, too, do they rely more on the Internet as their source for important health information. A Google survey found that as many as 93 percent of those using Internet search engines are researching their medications, medical conditions, and treatment options. Health care information on the Internet is a rapidly expanding area, and I’m proud to say that Meridian Health is at the forefront of this trend.

Meridian recently relaunched our system-wide Web site to provide an engaging, easy-to-navigate platform. We also launched five brand-new Web sites dedicated to each Meridian hospital and Meridian At Home, the region’s leading provider of home health care services.

The comprehensive information on the sites includes: an overview of our services; an extensive physician referral database; details on visiting our hospitals; key contact information; Meridian HealthViews magazine and other publications; and an expanded listing of the community event calendar that we feature in each issue of HealthViews. It also includes a wealth of information on such topics as heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes, to name a few.

The next time you go online to research a medical condition, try exploring our sites at:

Sincerely,

John K. Lloyd, FACHE
