JSUMC Recognized As Official Children’s Hospital

Jersey Shore is home to the most comprehensive pediatric program in the region and the newly announced K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC) is now home to the first official children’s hospital for Monmouth and Ocean counties.

"For more than 100 years, we have worked to deliver the highest quality health care services to our communities," says Steven Littleson, president, JSUMC. Accomplishments like this greatly benefit families in our local communities and throughout central New Jersey."

"Becoming a licensed children’s hospital recognizes the breadth and depth of the pediatric services offered at Jersey Shore," says Steven Kairys, M.D., chair of Pediatrics at JSUMC.

JSUMC provides advanced services such as pediatric trauma and emergency care, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, perinatal care, and child evaluation for developmental and behavior issues. Additionally, Jersey Shore is home to the most pediatric subspecialists in the region.
