Pharmacology Institute

Over 2 million people in the United States suffer annually from adverse drug reactions. The more you know about your medications the easier it is to avoid problems with them. People over the age of 65 are especially vulnerable to medication-related problems, due to the number of mediations they take and the biologic changes of aging. When medications are prescribed, the intent is to improve your quality of life by curing a disease, reducing or eliminating the symptoms of a disease, slowing a disease process, or preventing a disease or its symptoms from appearing.
