Medication Related Problems
The average person older than 65 can suffer from several health problems at once: arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, hearing loss, or poor vision, among others. Most of these can be controlled by medicine. However, taking several medications simultaneously, in combination with the way the human body reacts to medications, often puts older patients at risk for unpleasant side effects and other medication-related problems. People over the age of 65 are especially vulnerable due to the number of medications they take and the biologic changes of aging and disease.

RxCheck
The more you know about your medication and the more you talk with your health care professionals, like your consultant pharmacist, the easier it is to avoid medication-related problems.

Frequent advice, counseling, and educational programs by consultant senior care pharmacists can prevent or decrease the severity of the problems seniors often experience with their medication.

Our clinical pharmacist specialist is available for private consultations and medication therapy management. The pharmacist will assess your current medications for optimal therapy, help minimize or eliminate unnecessary drugs if needed, and help reduce your risk for medication-related side effects and interactions.
