    • Diagnosis and treatment of neurologic lesions which affect the bladder (spina bifida, traumatic spinal cord lesions, and transverse myelitis)
    • Evaluation and treatment of prenatally detected urinary tract anomalies
    • Evaluation and treatment of children with urinary tract infections
    • Evaluation and treatment of children with wetting problems
Frequent urination: going frequently or often during the day
Urinary urgency: having to urinate as soon as the child feels the urge to void
Bedwetting: loss of urine while asleep
Daytime incontinence: loss of urinary control causing damp undergarments or requiring a change of clothes
Stress Incontinence: loss of urine with straining (coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc.)
Post-void leakage: loss of urinary control immediately after voiding or just a few minutes after voiding

*If you have scheduled an appointment due to your child's voiding issues, we require your child to arrive to the office with a full bladder. That means trying to have him/her drink at least 16-20 ounces of fluid approximately 1-2 hours prior to their appointment time. We understand that this can vary greatly for each child, and it can be quite difficult, but we do ask that you try your best. A full bladder is extremely helpful in the initial workup and consultation of your child's problem.

  • Uroflow testing
  • Biofeedback training (Kegel exercise training)
  • Bladder scans to measure bladder volume and determine bladder emptying
  • Urodynamic testing

What to bring to your visit if you are a new patient:

Get the Most from Your Doctor Visits

A typical doctor's office visit lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. That gives your health care provider little time to talk to you about your health problem, examine you, make a diagnosis, then suggest a treatment plan.
