Insurance Information

We are contracted with most major insurers in Ocean and Monmouth counties as well as accept insurances such as Medicare and Medicaid. We bill your insurance after the services are rendered and advise our patients and/or families about coverage restrictions before admission to Shore Rehab that may result in an out of pocket expanse. Our admission liaison can provide you with more detailed information regarding our fees.

Hours of Operation

As an Acute Rehabilitation Hospital, we are always working for our patients and families to meet their ongoing needs. Suggested visiting hours are between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. with the best time to visit beginning after 4 p.m. to accommodate the needs of our patients who are in therapy during the day hours. If you have a conflict around these times, please speak with one of our team members.

Quality Outcomes

At Shore Rehabilitation Institute, we pay the utmost attention to your safety, the quality of services provided to you and your health care experience.

Safety: We work diligently to incorporate patient safety into our every day culture; consequently our safety records are superior to national averages.

Quality: FIM gain and FIM gain per day define how much a patient’s function improves from admission till discharge as well as every day. In 2013, patients at Shore Rehab made gains higher than the national average on both of these measures despite serving patients who were much older and with higher acuity then national averages.

Patient Experience: We use Press Ganey to measure patient experience. In 2013, Shore Rehab was amongst the top 17% of rehab units and hospitals based on overall patient experience.
