Riverview Medical Center and Middletown Township Public Library To Hold Healthy Holiday Eating Seminar On November 17
Discussion to provide information and tips on healthy eating habits one can maintain through the holidaysSticking to a healthy eating plan during the holiday season can often times prove difficult, but it doesn't always have to be. Join Riverview Medical Center in conjunction with the Middletown Township Public Library for, Healthy Holiday Eating on Tuesday, November 17, at 7:00 p.m. This presentation will be held at the library, which is located at 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown.
Mary Higgins, Registered Dietician Educator from Riverview Medical Center, will be joined by Whole Foods to discuss simple heart healthy dishes that can be prepared at home, portion control, adding fruits to meals and exploring some uncommon vegetables, tips on handling different food related situations during holiday gatherings, and adjusting recipes to improve their nutritional value. Samples of some of the healthy foods discussed will be provided by Whole Foods as well.
