Two Meridian Health Nurses Receive Governor's Nursing Merit Award
14th Consecutive Year Meridian Nurses Received State's Top Nursing RecognitionTwo Meridian Health nurses were recently honored for their achievements in nursing at the 21st annual Governor's Nursing Merit Awards Dinner. For the 14th consecutive year, Meridian Health nurses have been recognized for their excellence in nursing. The ceremony was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Princeton.
Department of Health and Senior Services Commissioner Heather Howard presented the award to ten recipients, who were selected from among the over 109,000 licensed state nurses practicing in areas of patient care, nurse education, nursing research, administration, management, and community health.
The two Meridian Health nurses recognized were Joan Harvey, R.N., MSN, CCRN, clinical nurse specialist at Ocean Medical Center, who received the award in the category of Nurse Educator, and Kristine Rovell, R.N., MSN, C, nurse manager at Riverview Medical Center who received the award in the category of nurse manager.
