Annual Sweetheart Ball Benefiting Local Cancer Center To Be Held February 20
Event to benefit programs and services at Cancer Center at Jersey Shore University Medical CenterThe 13th Annual Sweetheart Ball will be held on Saturday, February 20, at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
The Sweetheart Ball will benefit the Cancer Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The event, which is chaired by Dr. Kenneth and Ann Marie Nahum and Philip and Marilyn Perricone, will honor Carol Stillwell of Stillwell-Hansen, Inc. for her generous contributions to the hospital. Stillwell will also be presented with the William C. Black Award of Hope.
Funds generated from this year's event will assist in the renovation of the family lounge in the oncology inpatient unit. The lounge will feature computer stations for guests to research treatment information, stay connected with friends and relatives, and will also include a kids' corner with games and activities, a learning center and television. In addition, a private room will be fashioned to serve as a respite for patients, as well as host family meetings with physicians and other oncology team members.
Tickets for the Sweetheart Ball are $200 per person with many sponsorship and journal opportunities currently available. 50/50 tickets are also on sale with half of the proceeds benefit the Cancer Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
