Meridian At Home To Hold Snore No More Sleep Apnea Presentation
Discussion to provide educational information on how to get a better night's sleepGetting a good night's sleep is not easy for everyone, as sleep disorders trouble millions on a daily basis. Sleep apnea happens to be one of the most prevalent disorders, affecting over 12 million Americans. Join Meridian At Home on Tuesday, January 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Blaisdell Auditorium at Riverview Medical Center for a free presentation, Snore No More.
Sleep apnea is caused by a blockage of the airway, usually when the soft tissue in the rear of the throat collapses and closes during sleep. This causes a very disruptive and poor quality sleep, can have harmful effects on the brain, heart, and lungs, and can be very dangerous as breathing can stop. Respiratory Therapist, Nancy Keiluhn, and team members from Riverview's Sleep Center will discuss the symptoms, health risks, and treatment options for sleep apnea.
Representatives from Meridian At Home will also provide an overview of products and services available to assist with sleep apnea and in turn promote a restful, safe night's sleep.
Registration for this free event is required and can be obtained by calling 1-800-DOCTORS.
