Meridian Health's Women's Philanthropic Fund to Hold Fourth Annual Fundraising Luncheon
Event to raise funds for cardiac programs, services, and technologies at Meridian HealthThe Meridian Health Women's Philanthropic Fund (WPF) will host their fourth annual Spring Luncheon fund raising event on Friday, April 30, at Trump National Golf Course in Colts Neck at 11:30 a.m.. The event benefits Meridian's cardiovascular programs in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The mission of WPF is to educate women in Monmouth and Ocean counties about the importance of heart health and to raise funds for cardiac programs, services and technology at Meridian Health, which includes Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Ocean Medical Center in Brick, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital in Neptune, and Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin.
The luncheon will include an educational component from Joseph Mosquera, M.D., board certified in Internal Medicine and clinical instructor at UMDNJ teaching, "The Art of Medicine" to first and second year Medical Students. Dr. Mosquera will provide an overview on the latest heart health news. Guests will also hear a heart attack survivor's first-hand experience of outstanding care received through Meridian Health.

Since its inception in 2007, more than $179,000 has been raised for cardiovascular programs throughout Meridian Health. Each year the WPF board selects and focuses on one cardiovascular program, service, or technology at Meridian Health to support. Member fees and contributions raised throughout the year will fund that program. All contributions and membership fees are 100% tax-deductible.
