Registration Open for 5K Run/Walk at Ocean Medical Center
Great prizes for runners/walkers of all levels!Registration is now open for Ocean Medical Center's third annual 5K Run/Walk as part of Community Day on Saturday, May 22. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. at the medical center, and follows a route around the hospital campus. An awards celebration will take place immediately following the race.
Great prizes will be offered to participants. The overall male and female winners will each receive a 42" LCD HDTV, plus top finishers in various age categories will receive prizes. All participants will automatically be entered to win one of several fantastic raffle prizes, including a kayak, surf board and iPod.
Fun for the entire family will also be going on as part of Community Day, from 8:30 a.m. till noon on the medical center's front lawn. Free food, entertainment, rides, games, health screenings, and much more will ensure a great time for guests of all ages.
The race course is considered flat and fast. Registration is $20 per person. The first 200 registrants will receive a shirt.
The event is endorsed by the Ocean Runners Club and registration is available online at www.active.com. Participants are also welcome to register the day of the event, and advanced check in is available on Friday, May 21 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the atrium of Ocean Medical Center.
