Riverview Medical Center To Host Presentation On Bone Health At Middletown Public Library

Keeping bones strong and healthy is essential as we age in order to decrease the risk of bone fracture

As we age, our bones lose calcium and other essential minerals. This loss can sometimes lead to osteoporosis, which may increase the risk for bone fractures. Join Riverview Medical Center's rehabilitation experts on Thursday, April 15, at the Middletown Public Library located at 55 New Monmouth Road at 7:00 p.m. for a free presentation on keeping bones healthy.

Jorge Corzo, M.D., board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Riverview Medical Center and Brian Walch, manager of Rehabilitation Services at Riverview Medical Center will discuss risk factors, the role of exercise, and how a well-balanced diet helps maintain bone health. Simple lifestyle changes can play a huge role in improving bone health for the long-run, as prevention is a key factor.

Registration for this event is required. Free bone density screenings will be provided to the first 40 registered attendees. To register for this presentation please call, 1-800-DOCTORS.
