Annual Sweetheart Ball Raises Significant Funds to Benefit Cancer Care
Funds raised will benefit programs and services at the Cancer Center at Jersey Shore University Medical CenterThe Fourteenth Annual Sweetheart Ball was held on Saturday, February 26, at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale and raised nearly $200,000.
Funds raised at this year's Sweetheart Ball, which was co-chaired by Dr. Kenneth and Ann Marie Nahum and Phil and Marilyn Perricone, will benefit the programs and services of the Cancer Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
A highlight of the evening included the opportunity to award Gina Petillo, past Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees member, with the William C. Black Award of Hope for her generous contributions to the hospital. The award was named after the late Mr. William Black and is presented annually to an individual who personifies Mr. Black's commitment and generosity towards Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Mr. Black previously served on the Meridian Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors of the Jersey Shore Medical Center.
