Red Bank, Monmouth Beach, and Fair Haven Residents...It's Time to Pink Your Houses!
Support Breast Cancer Awareness by Decorating Your House Pink April 30 - May 7Residents of Pink Bank, Pink Beach and Pink Haven are invited to turn your towns pink for seven days this spring by "Pinking Their Homes" from April 30 through May 7, the week of this year's Paint the Town Pink, powered by Tom's Lincoln.
Sign up for the "Pink Your House" contest to show your support of the fifth annual Paint the Town Pink initiative sponsored by Riverview Medical Center. Each participating home will receive a pink starter kit to get the pink creativity flowing. Residents can either decorate your houses using the starter kit, or you can enter the house decorating contest and put your creativity to the test. In past years, residents have wowed us with some unique PINK decorations and survivor tributes.
The starter kit, which will be dropped off to your home, will include a pink lawn sign, pink light bulb, Paint the Town Pink flag, pink ribbon, pink window cling, as well as a washable pink window marker.
The contest entrants will be judged by our panel of Pink judges between April 27 - April 30. There will be three winners per town, one in each category of: Most Creative, In Honor of a Survivor, and Pinkest House.
The mission of Paint the Town Pink is to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. Each year, we work to encourage all women in our community, aged 40 and older, to have their annual mammogram, as well as raise money to provide mammography to the uninsured and underserved in our community.
Throughout the week in May, remember to take advantage of pink specials at more than 200 Pink Partner businesses. As you shop and dine, you may also pledge to have your annual mammogram, pick up educational information about breast health, and contribute to our pink piggy banks to help other women have their annual mammogram.
To sign up to Pink Your House visit www.PainttheTownPink.com/myhouse. The entry deadline is Friday, April 15, 2011.
