Become a Lifesaver at Southern Ocean's First Bone Marrow Donor Drive
You might just be the lifesaver that a patient is waiting for. Southern Ocean Medical Center will host its first bone marrow donor drive on Friday, July 6, 2012. Testing to determine if you might be a bone marrow match is easy. A quick swab of your inner cheek is taken and that's it. Southern Ocean volunteer team members will be available outside the Beach Plum cafeteria on the first floor of the hospital between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 am, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. to assist with completion of donor forms and swabbing. The Southern Ocean Nursing Practice Council is sponsoring this drive. For more information contact: Brenda Snow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
