Fourth Annual Wine Tasting To Benefit Cardiac Services Programs

Guests to experience an international wine and spirits tasting

Bayshore Community Hospital Foundation invites the community to its fourth Annual Wine and Spirits Tasting fundraiser on Thursday, September 6, 2012 to benefit Bayshore Community Hospital's Cardiac Services Programs. This year's event will not only feature premium wines from around the globe, but also international beers and spirits as well. Cocktails will be accompanied by an extensive array of hors d'oeuvres that are sure to rouse the gastronome in everyone. The event's steadfast co-chairs, Fern and Peter Esposito and Mary and Dr. Elias Lehaf have once again graciously offered their time to organize this event.

"Our goal is to continually increase the support we provide to the hospital through this popular event, ultimately benefiting Bayshore's Cardiac Services," says Fern Esposito.
"Special thanks to the Scaduto and Azzolina families of Spirits Unlimited and Food Circus Foodtown for once again facilitating the acquisition of many of the wines and spirits to be featured this evening."

The Bayshore Community Hospital Foundation is also proud to honor current Foundation trustee and immediate past chair Wendell A. Smith, Esq. of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis for his many contributions to Bayshore Community Hospital. Wendell has been a Hospital trustee since 1976 and served as its chairperson for eight years. Wendell is a tremendous philanthropist and humanitarian in the area. He was a co-founder of both the Holmdel Foundation for Educational Excellence and the Holmdel Theatre Company, Inc. He was a past president and also served on the Holmdel Board of Education for nine years. Wendell has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1983 and last March was honored by the New Jersey chapter of the Community Associations Institute with its first Lifetime Achievement Award.

The fourth Annual Wine Tasting will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the stunning Addison Park in Aberdeen, N.J. A silent auction will consist of a spectacular array of fine wines and spirits, as well as other delicacies for guests to take home to enjoy.

Bayshore Community Hospital provides one-stop cardiac diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation close to home for the residents of Monmouth and Middlesex counties. Bayshore also provides a breadth of minimally-invasive cardiovascular treatment options through its multi-specialty Cardiac Catheritization Laboratory and Interventional Radiology Suite. Additionally, Bayshore's comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Program allows patients to gain heart strength and stay healthy.

"As we continue to grow the breadth and depth of services at Bayshore Community Hospital, events such as this one are critical to fund new technologies and programs for the communities we serve," says David Flood, president of the Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations. "The Cardiac Services program at Bayshore has become a signature service for the hospital and will be the cornerstone of Bayshore's future."
