Meridian CardioVascular Network Offers Free Luncheon
August 21 lecture to discuss heart-healthy cooking alternativesJoin experts from Meridian CardioVascular Network for a free interactive lecture and luncheon as a part of the 365 Days of Heart Campaign. The event will be held at the Clarion Hotel in Toms River from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will feature cardiologist Joseph Guarino, M.D. as well as registered dieticians Kathleen Gallagher and Samantha O'Brien from Ocean Medical Center.
Guests who attend the lecture will get to enjoy a three-course meal while Dr. Guarino provides important information about heart disease, and how diet plays a large role in heart health. Registered dieticians will talk guests through the meal, reviewing ingredients used in the menu items, and recommending simple everyday ingredients that can aid in the prevention of heart disease.
