Tim Nolan Joins Meridian Health to Lead Health Solutions DivisionMeridian Health is pleased to announce the addition of Tim Nolan as Executive Vice President, leading the newly formed division of Meridian Health Solutions.
As Executive Vice President, Tim's responsibilities will focus on accelerating the development of Meridian's strategic priorities related to Healthcare Reform, Population Health Management, Accountable Care Organization, Clinical Integrated Network and health insurance partnerships, as well as overseeing Meridian's Managed Care department.
"Tim brings an outstanding record of accomplishments with extensive experience and success in the health care insurance industry," says John K. Lloyd, FACHE, president of Meridian Health. "Tim has the vision, competencies, and drive that Meridian needs to succeed in a rapidly changing environment."
Tim has over 20 years of experience in the health insurance business, beginning in 1985 with US Healthcare, where he served for 11 years in the capacities of vice president of national accounts; senior vice president, chief operations officer; and an executive officer of the company.
Following the merger of Aetna and US Healthcare to form Aetna US Healthcare in 1996, Tim served 4 years in the capacities of senior vice president and head of operations, and then as head of field organization for the newly combined entity.
More recently, Tim served 10 years in various senior executive positions at Coventry Healthcare, including senior vice president of new market development, president and CEO of various Coventry Healthcare affiliates; and finally as executive vice president of government programs for Coventry Health Care until the company was acquired by Aetna in May, 2013.
Tim earned his B.S, degree from DeSales University in Center Valley, PA and MBA degree from New York University, New York City.
