The Women's Philanthropic Fund's mission is to educate people in Monmouth and Ocean counties about the importance of heart health and to raise funds for heart programs, services, and technology at Meridian Health. A record $36,000 overall was raised to purchase a portable vascular screening module.
In 15 minutes, AngioScreenR is able to provide patients with information about the risk of heart disease and stroke through several non-diagnostic tests. Proceeds from this event will also help subsidize the cost of AngioScreenR for people in underserved communities.
In addition, the LIVE auction proceeds were allocated to Meridian's Disaster Relief Fund which supports those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
