Maureen E. Sintich Appointed to Senior Vice President Of Nursing and Chief Nursing OfficerMeridian Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen E. Sintich RN, MSN, MBA, WHNP-BC, NEA-BC to the position of Senior Vice President of Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer.
Maureen has been the Vice President of Operations and CNO at Wake Forest Baptist Health System which includes three hospitals: the 885 bed flagship hospital, North Carolina Baptist Hospital, the 100 bed Lexington Medical Center and the 50-bed Davies County Hospital, since 2009. The Wake Forest Baptist Health System has been Magnet designated for 3 successive surveys and under Maureen's leadership, is pursuing its fourth.
Maureen started her career at Wake Forest Baptist Health in 2000 as the administrator of the Women's Health Service and had increasing responsibility prior to her appointment as Vice President. Prior to Wake Forest Baptist Health, Maureen served as Executive Director of the Tulane Xavier National Center of Excellence in Women's Health at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans where she was responsible for program development and implementation of all aspects of the Women's Center.
Maureen also has administrative responsibility for the financial and quality performance for several service lines including Women's Health, Oncology, Behavioral Health, Critical Care, as well as other clinical areas. Maureen has provided innovative approaches to care coordination as well as new perspectives on structuring case management roles in both hospitals and ambulatory settings to support the continuum of care.

Maureen earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, a master's degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center and a master's in business administration from the University of North Carolina.
