Meridian Health Welcomes Ted Shlert to Position of Senior Vice President of Risk Management

Meridian Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Ted Shlert to the position of senior vice president of Risk Management.

Ted has over 30 years of experience in health care risk management, 25 of those years have been at Catholic Health East (CHE) a multi-state, multi-institutional health system comprised of over 30 hospital locations and over 20 free standing facilities. Ted also served as Catholic Health East's vice president of Risk Services and chief risk officer. He also served as President of Stella Maris Insurance Company, Limited, Grand Cayman, B.W.I. Most recently, Ted served as vice president of Risk Finance Integration of the recently formed CHE Trinity Health system with 82 hospitals, 89 continuing care facilities in 21 states.

Ted earned his bachelor's degree from Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania and a master's degree in business administration from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, Philadelphia, PA.
