Meridian Subacute Rehab at Wall Achieves Pathway to Excellence Designation

The American Nurse Credentialing Center has recently awarded Meridian Subacute Rehab at Wall as one of two facilities in New Jersey to receive the Pathway to Excellence Designation.

The Pathway to Excellence ProgramR recognizes health care organizations for positive practice environments where nursing teams excel. To qualify, organizations meet 12 practice standards essential to an ideal nursing practice environment. Applicants conduct a review process to fully document the integration of those standards in the organization's practices, policies, and culture.

"The Pathway to Excellence award truly demonstrates how Meridian continuously strives and excels in providing patients of all ages with the best quality care and overall experience," said Jacqueline, Decker, director of Nursing, Meridian Subacute Rehab at Wall.

Pathway designation can only be achieved if an organization's nurses validate the data and other evidence submitted via an independent, confidential survey. This critical element exemplifies the theme of empowering and giving nurses a voice. Meridian Subacute Rehab at Wall achieved the Pathway to Excellence by designation scoring between 92 and 99 percent in all categories.

Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation at Wall is also the only post acute facility in the country to receive the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as well as Pathway to ExcellenceR designation. CARF accreditation demonstrates a provider's commitment to continuously improve service quality and to focus on the satisfaction of the persons served. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services.
