New Vascular Surgeon Expands Specialty Resources at Southern Ocean Medical CenterMeridian Health is proud to welcome Richard Di Fiore, M.D., to the medical staff at Southern Ocean Medical Center. Dr. Di Fiore is board certified in vascular surgery and has extensive experience in both vascular and endovascular surgery.
Dr. Di Fiore received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he was named chief resident in his final year. Dr. Di Fiore is fellowship trained in endovascular surgery from the Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital and in vascular surgery from the Jobst Vascular Center at Toledo Hospital.
Dr. Di Fiore is an expert in endovascular intervention, with surgical expertise focused on conditions such as carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm and peripheral arterial disease. He is also certified in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, expertise he will be utilizing in Southern Ocean's Center for Wound Healing.
