Patrick Young Appointed to Executive Vice President of Meridian Health Solutions

Meridian Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Young to the position of Executive Vice President of Meridian Health, leading the division of Meridian Health Solutions.

As Executive Vice President, Young will focus on accelerating the development of strategic priorities related to health care reform, population health management, Meridian’s Accountable Care Organization, Clinical Integrated Network, health insurance partnerships, as well as overseeing Managed Care.

“As a seasoned health care executive, Patrick brings an outstanding record of accomplishments and extensive experience and success in the health care insurance industry,” says John Lloyd, FACHE, president of Meridian Health. “He has the vision, competencies and drive that Meridian needs to succeed in a rapidly changing environment.”

Young brings 27 years of extensive health insurance experience, beginning with U.S. Healthcare in 1988, where he served for six years in various capacities, including district manager and national account manager. Following the merger of Aetna and US Healthcare to form Aetna US Healthcare, Patrick served in general manager positions throughout the northeast and more recently was the president for the Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia markets. He was also Chairman and CEO of the Noble Health Alliance.
