Riverview Medical Center Foundation Welcomes New Chair and Trustee

Riverview Medical Center Foundation has announced Nancy B. Mulheren as the new chair of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees. Mulheren, a real estate manager and investor in the Rumson community, has been on the Riverview Foundation Board since 2011 and is an active philanthropist in New Jersey as well as Virginia, home to her alma mater, Roanoke College, where she serves as a Trustee. Nancy is the director of The J.A.M. Anonymous Foundation, established in tribute to her late husband John and dedicated to continuing his philanthropic legacy. She also serves on the boards of Roanoke College, VNA Foundation Board, the Count Basie Theatre Foundation, Canterbury School, and as an Honorary Board Member of OASIS (Ongoing Autistic Success in Society).

“I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to positively impact health care in our community through my role as chair of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board,” says Mulheren. “Finding quality care on a local level is increasingly important as our population grows and I’m proud to lead a committed group of individuals dedicated to supporting this outstanding Medical Center and in turn, the countless families it serves.”

In Nancy Mulheren’s new leadership position, she is excited to also welcome Mary Vaden Eisenstadt to the board of trustees. Eisenstadt is the creator and owner of Virginia Cocktail Peanuts, a national gourmet peanut brand, and resides in Locust, NJ where she is actively involved in several local charities. Mary has been a long time supporter of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation having served on the board from 1998 – 2004, and is excited to rejoin the board this year.

“We are honored that these two terrific individuals have accepted more active roles within the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board,” says Joseph Stampe, president of the Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations. “These new developments reflect continued success and generosity enabling us to better serve the patients and families of Riverview Medical Center.”

Donor support has helped to fund the growth of programs, services, and technologies at Riverview, and 2014 was no exception, with the introduction of a new robotic surgery center, interventional radiology suite, tomosynthesis imaging machines, telemetry monitors and a LensX laser system.

“Foundation board members have been an instrumental part of Riverview Medical Center’s growth,” shares Timothy J. Hogan, FACHE, regional hospital president for Monmouth County, Meridian Health. “As we move forward with significant plans to elevate the hospital’s oncology services through Meridian Cancer Care, we are so pleased to have the strong leadership of Nancy and Mary to inspire our community in their continued commitment to Riverview Medical Center."
