Bayshore Community Hospital Welcomes Board Certified Pediatric and Adult Otolaryngologist John Roche, M.D., FACS
Bayshore Community Hospital, now part of the Hackensack Meridian Health family, is pleased to welcome Board Certified Pediatric and Adult Otolaryngologist John Roche, M.D., FACS to the medical staff. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Roche will begin offering surgical services to pediatric and adult patients at Bayshore beginning in November.
“The addition of Dr. Roche will expand Bayshore’s expertise in the area of adult and pediatric otolaryngology,” says Ian Leber, M.D. MBA, CPE, FACEP and vice president of clinical effectiveness and medical affairs at Bayshore. “Parents will be able to bring their children for common surgeries such as the insertion of tympanostomy tubes, as well tonsil and adenoid surgeries, and adults will receive first class surgical services for ear, nose, and throat procedures. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Roche to the medical staff and know that he will be a great asset to our community.”
Prior to joining Bayshore, Dr. Roche was an assistant professor of Clinical Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He earned his medical degree at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and trained for two years in general surgery, followed by a four year Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of California – Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.
In addition to his years of clinical experience, Dr. Roche has an extensive background in research, professional presentations, and is a published academic author. He is also a humanitarian and has served for the last six years alongside Faces of Tomorrow Surgical Mission providing surgical services for cleft lips and palates for the undeserved communities of Bohol and Legazpi City in the Philippines.
