Diagnosis and Treatment

Upon diagnosis, patients and their families may be faced with complex issues regarding medical management, mobility, speech, nutrition, and emotional and cognitive changes. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS): A type of therapy that uses electrical stimulation to treat Parkinson’s disease (PD), essential tremor, multiple sclerosis, and certain other neurological conditions. DBS can be effective in treating movement problems such as tremors, stiffness, difficulty in walking, and slowed movement. Learn more.

Parkinson’s Group Exercise Classes: A post rehab group exercise classes designed and administered by physical therapists and exercise specialists, to help those with Parkinson’s improve their flexibility, balance, and strength, enabling them to perform everyday activities with greater ease.
