Occupational therapy helps an individual's developmental or physical skills that will aid in daily living; it focuses on the use of hands and fingers, on coordination of movement, on self-help skills, such as dressing and eating, and sensory motor integration.
Following illness or injury, people often experience difficulty in performing daily living activities. Our outpatient occupational therapy programs help these people maximize independence at home, work, or school. Our occupational therapists work with the patient, family, and physician to establish a plan of care tailored to the specific needs of each individual.
