A hospital and health care services provider, Meridian Health is extending the role of traditional health care, by applying emerging technologies in the clinical and home settings. Through partnerships with many leading technology innovators, Meridian is actively piloting new uses for leading edge digital, sensory, and common consumer technologies, building an electronic health information bridge between patients, their physicians, and hospitals.
Creating a health care system with new levels of seamless connectivity from hospital, to the physician, to the home, and to the patient themselves, will enable seniors and their family caregivers to more independently manage their health and wellness in more effective ways.

This new blood pressure sensor is built directly into a standard PC optical mouse, allowing individuals to remotely monitor blood pressure and pulse more effectively to prevent the development or progression of hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases. Developed by CalHealth Inc.

GPS-enabled Sneakers
GPS-enabled sneakers connect its wearers by the touch of a button to an emergency response service near them. These shoes provide peace of mind to those caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease or a memory impairment. Developed by Isaac Daniel Group. For more details, please click here.

Glow CapTM
GlowCaps illuminate, play a melody, and even ring a home phone to remind you to take your medications. The caps track when medication is taken based on sensors built into the cap and the system provides reports to caregivers and physicians, enabling them to monitor medication use.
