The mission of the Women’s Heart Fund is to educate the residents of Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties about the importance of women’s health and to raise funds to support women’s health programs, services and technologies across Hackensack Meridian Health’s southern regional hospitals and community health programs. 2018 Women’s Heart Fund Annual Cocktail Reception
The Women’s Heart Fund annual cocktail reception will take place on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at our new location in Ocean County, Bay Head Yacht Club, in Bay Head, New Jersey, one of the oldest yacht clubs in the United States with breathtaking and unparalleled views of the Barnegat Bay.
This year’s annual cocktail reception will feature an array of fine foods, spirits and live music with cocktail attire, a 50/50 raffle, auction and new this year, a virtual advertising journal. As the exclusive event for the Women’s Heart Fund in 2018, we hope you will join us as we celebrate our community and help further our mission.
2017 Women’s Heart Fund Annual Cocktail Reception
On June 2, the Women’s Heart Fund welcomed more than 230 guests to the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ where together with special guests, Chazz and Gianna Palminteri, they raised more than $75,000 net in support of Women’s Services at Hackensack Meridian Health. The fundraising results are a record high for the Women’s Heart Fund Board.
All proceeds from the reception are funding the construction of the Women’s Wellness Center that will be housed in the new HOPE Tower at Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The Women’s Wellness Center will provide services for those receiving treatment for cancer to improve their well-being. Patients throughout Hackensack Meridian Health will benefit from the Center, which is set to open in 2018.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Since its inception, the Women’s Heart Fund has raised more than $700,000 for Hackensack Meridian Health programs and services. The funds have been used for a variety of needs including; vascular screening equipment for AngioScreen®, scholarships for nurses, a peaceful waiting area in the CardioVascular Intensive Care Unit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Community LifeSavers programming to train young people in CPR, a Community Health van used daily to transport health screening equipment to high-risk groups, sending key health care providers to an educational integrative medicine conference titled “Health Kitchens, Healthy Lives”, and the construction of a Women’s Wellness Center in the Cancer Care Center at HOPE Tower.

2015 - Funding the Community of Life Savers program which trains high school students in CPR and the use of an AED

2013 - Portable Vascular Screening Module and subsidizing the cost of the Angio screening for people in underserved communities
