Found at only a handful of America's cancer centers, the Meridian CyberKnife Center at Riverview is home to the region's most experienced CyberKnife team, who have completed more than 4,000 treatments since the opening of the Center in 2005. CyberKnife Radiosurgery is done on an outpatient basis requiring just 1 to 5 treatments as opposed to conventional radiation therapy which can require up to 44 treatments, allowing patients to resume their daily routine immediately after treatment.

Our Acute Stroke Team comprised of neurologists, Magnet-recognized nationally certified nurses, and radiologists, is available to rapidly respond to, assess, and treat stroke emergencies – 24 hours a day, 7-days-a-week, 365 days of the year. In many cases, t-PA, or “clot busters” can be administered to dissolve the clots that are keeping blood from flowing to the brain, but it must be administered within a three-hour window.
