Deborah Allen Named Executive Director of the Southern Ocean FoundationSouthern Ocean Medical Center has announced the appointment of Deborah Allen as executive director of the Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation. Allen is a fundraising leader whose background includes substantial experience in a variety of settings including a Chamber of Commerce, philanthropy and organizational management consulting, community hospital foundations, and work within a major healthcare system as Major Gift Officer. She most recently served as Director of Development for Cetronia Ambulance Corps, the largest, non-profit community based ambulance organization in eastern Pennsylvania and the primary ambulance service serving the Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Allen has also served as Major Gifts Officer for the Lehigh Valley Health System, as Campaign Director for Community Counseling Service (CCS) in Hawaii and as Hospital Foundation Director at Otsego Memorial Hospital (Gaylord, Michigan) where she successfully completed a hospital emergency department campaign. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) as well as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She is a current member of MOAA, the Military Offers Association of America, having obtained the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserves (USNR).
