WHAT IS CYBERKNIFE?
CyberKnife is a robotic radiosurgery system designed to deliver high doses of radiation with sharp accuracy to treat cancerous tumors. CyberKnife provides an outpatient, pain-free, minimally invasive breakthrough approach to cancer treatment – providing hope to thousands of New Jersey patients with tumors that were once considered inoperable. The Hackensack Meridian Health CyberKnife Center at Riverview Medical Center is home to the region’s most experienced CyberKnife radiation oncology team. Along with a multidisciplinary team of experts, the team has performed over 8,000 CyberKnife treatments for patients since 2005.
